Dennis Andrew Hahn

Throughout his lifetime, Dennis Andrew Hahn had mastered the art of the "Irish Goodbye" and on Friday, September 1st, 2023, he made his last and final one.
Those closest to him, knew him as Denny, "Dennis the Menace", "Old Man Denny", and at times, some other more colorful sentiments. All of which he would wear as badges of honor accompanied by his sly, mischievous grin.
Denny was a man of quick wit and humor. He loved to make those around him smile and laugh, even if at his own expense. Denny would often profess, "Everyone is just so serious!" The more inappropriate the time for a joke, the better he thought it was. "Why did they put a fence around the cemetery? People are dying to get in."
An avid sports enthusiast, Denny would talk "the game" with just about anyone who would listen. He shared his love for sports with all those around him and truly believed that character was built within the "arena".
Though his love for sports was unconditional, his truest loves of all were his beloved pets. Denny wasn't afraid to say that he liked animals more than people and given the chance, he'd tell you that too.
A man of many quirks, with a desire to go against the mold and to march to the beat of his very own drum – Denny was a man you wanted in your corner. He was tremendously loyal and unwavering. If you were in his inner circle, his love for you was fierce and infinite. No matter the time, no matter the request, Denny was someone that you could always count on. Though be it unconventional, if he loved you, you knew it.
Denny lived his life wildly, freely, and unapologetically. His comedic, fun-loving, and free-spirited personality will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. With every Utica Comets Hockey game, Jameson on the rocks, Pistachio cake, dance floor jig, inappropriate one-liner, fire ball, Jimmy Buffet and John Prine song, his memory will live on forever.
To honor Denny's wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. His family asks that you remember him and celebrate his life in a way that he would've appreciated it.
