Dennis Wayne Malott

Dennis Wayne Malott, 68 of Midland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 13, 2025 at Olson Manor of Midland. He was born to the late Wayne and Hyacinth (Retherford) Malott on August 30, 1956 in Crown Point, Indiana. Dennis married the love of his life Lila Louann Cochran on September 1, 1974 and they shared fifty loving years together.
Throughout the years Dennis enjoyed bowling, camping and hiking. Throughout his life he also worked security and mechanical work, and his favorite was working with the towing companies. In his later years he enjoyed the sun, watching birds/wildlife and spending time with his wife either outside, watching movies or listening to music.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Lila Malott.
He is preceded in death by his father Wayne Malott, mother Hyacinth Malott, brother Donnie, and his in-laws Albert and Ruby Cochran.
A cremation has taken place per his wishes and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Alzheimer-Dementia research in his honor.
