Dennis D. Piepkorn

Dennis Donald Piepkorn, age 73 of Suring, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024 surrounded by his wife and 3 sons. Dennis was born on October 17, 1951 to Milton "Bud" and Marian (Lamers) Piepkorn. He graduated from Little Chute High School with the class of 1969. He married Margaret "Peg" Hartzheim on June 24, 1972. Dennis had various jobs throughout his career, but his favorite was starting his own business, Northern Comfort Services, which he continued through his retirement. Some of Dennis' activities included over 20 years on the Suring School board, Organist, Choir Director & Youth Group leader for St. Michael's church, flagging various Stock Car Race Tracks for over 40 years, Scout Leader, Little League & Babe Ruth baseball coach, Bowling, his DJ Business – Northern Select, Water & Snow Skiing with his sons, and very dear to his heart – starting Demolition Derbies for FFA at the Suring Labor Day Celebration. Family was very important to Dennis and he was very proud of his sons and his 8 grandchildren. He attended events for all of them whenever possible.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Peg; sons, Shane (Sally) Piepkorn of De Pere, Andy (Christy) Piepkorn of Grafton, and Cory (Claire) Piepkorn of Holmen; grandchildren Molly, Emily, Gavin, Julia, Allison, Nora, Oliver and Chase; sister, Diane of Appleton; Aunt Bev (Chuck) Goodman of Combined Locks; many cousins & friends; his beloved wild dog, Charlie.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Bud & Marian; sister Dar; brother-in-law, Fred Proveaux; brother, Dave; sister-in-law, Jeannie; in-laws Paul and Vi Hartzheim; sister-in-law, Paula Hartzheim; as well as numerous close Aunts & Uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Suring from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm with Father Antonio De Los Santos officiating. Dennis will be interred at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank Country Villa Assisted Living of Pulaski for the wonderful care given to Dennis, especially during the transition. Many thanks to the amazing team of care givers of St. Croix Hospice of Green Bay for their compassion and care during a difficult time. Thank you as well to Father Tony De Los Santos and all family & for the visits, phone calls, treats & many cards over the past year – all of which he enjoyed and looked forward to receiving.
