Deon Daniel Lotter

Mr. Deon Daniel Lotter, age 63, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Snyder Turner and Brian Busby officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A native of South Africa, Mr. Lotter came to the United States and graduated from Southern Baptist University with a Bachelor's Degree in Transport Management. After going back to South Africa for a couple of years, he moved back to the states, living for the last 25 years in Powder Springs. One of his most proud accomplishments was obtaining his US citizenship.

Mr. Lotter and his wife Elna served as relief house parents (and would never accept any money) at the Calvary Children's Home in Powder Springs for over 20 years. He was a Master Diesel Mechanic with a couple of businesses before starting his own business. In his free time, he loved vegetable gardening and traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elna; 2 children (a son and a daughter); and a brother and sister, both of South Africa.
