Desiree Jo Wheat

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Desiree Jo Wheat passed away on May 13, 2022, in Ogden, Utah. She was born on August 10, 1987, to Shayne Wheat and Patricia Thueson in Layton, Utah.
Desiree is off to an awesome place, and the family who will miss her terribly and await our reunion include: her young children, ViriDiana Elizabeth Rae Hernandez (11) and Cash Braxten Weaver (3), parents Shayne Wheat (father), Patricia (Michael) Thueson, sisters Jennifer Irvin, Shannon Wheat, Grandparents Joseph and Nancy Sapp, Aunts Tammy Hayes, Christy (Paul) Sapp, Rebecca (Larry) McMurrin, Rachel (Jeff) Flinders, numerous nephews and nieces who absolutely adored her and called her their favorite Aunt, as well countless incredible friends who loved her.
Desiree grew up in Layton, Utah and attended Layton High School. She received her BA from Park University. She loved mountain biking, snowboarding, working out, fashion and dancing. Her greatest joy was doing crafts and decorating with her kids for the holidays. Desiree had passion and wasn't afraid to show it. She wore her heart on her sleeve and showed her opinion in her facial expressions. But by far Desiree's greatest love and proudest accomplishment was her children, whom she loved fiercely and without reservation. Although Desiree's untimely death leaves a hole in each of our hearts, we will always cherish and remember her as an enthusiastic mother, loving daughter, a devoted sister and a loyal friend.
To honor Desiree's memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on May 28 at Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory (496 24th St. Ogden, UT) from 12-2, We invite anyone who knew Desiree to attend and remember her infectious smile and laugh. We ask all attendees to wear bright colors.
