Dewayne Malcolm

Dewayne O'Brien Malcolm was born to Mr. Clement Valentine Malcolm and Ms. Daphne Lucille Malcolm on September 24, 1981, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He was their second born and their only son together.
Dewayne did his early childhood education at Mt. Olivet SDA School and Martin Luther King Elementary School. He also attended Riverland Middle School and would go on to graduate from South Plantation High School in June of 2000. Dewayne began working at the age of 17 at the Double Tree Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale through his travel and tourism class.
Furthering his education Dewayne went to Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fl where he studied criminal justice. Dewayne would then return home a year later and enroll at Broward Community College in Davie, Fl to further his study.
Dewayne gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of the Pathfinders. Dewayne was very pleasant and was a joy to be around. Dewayne loved to laugh and smile and would light up any room he entered.
Dewayne enjoyed playing basketball and was a player on South Plantation Paladins High School Basketball team for four years, he also played for his church the Mt. Olivet Net Burners team and for various leagues around the city.
Dewayne eventually moved to Atlanta in August of 2007 and worked for Exam Services in Norcross, Ga
Dewayne was known to many of his friends as "Spaceman" yes that's right "Spaceman" (lol). I don't know why but ok Spaceman...
However, on the day of Saturday January 8, 2022, God called him home.
Dewayne will be missed by all those whose lives he touched in the years God gave him on this earth.
Dewayne is survived by his parents Mr. Clement Malcolm and Ms. Daphne Malcolm, his step mother Patsy Malcolm, his brothers Wayne Malcolm (in Jamaica),Clement Malcolm Jr. His sisters Denise Malcolm, Latrice Malcolm, and Marcia Malcolm-Alexander. His nieces Aryelle Malcolm, Terrika Malcolm, Shalisia Hyman, and Gabrielle Sutherland. His nephews Craig Cyriaque, Jamarkes Malcolm, and Tre Malcolm. His aunts Norma Hylton, Eunice Powell, and Esmeralda Hylton. His uncles Windsor Hylton, Clement Hylton, Glenford Hylton, and Egbert Daley. His cousins Elaine Hylton, Michael Hylton, Kevin Greene, Jessica Powell, Nekairra Johnson-Osario, and Damian Dias. Great cousins, friends and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins and his late grandparents Mavis Hylton and Harold George Hylton.
