Diana L. Harris
April 7, 1946 – November 7, 2025
Floyds Knobs, Indiana
Diana L. Harris, 79, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, at her home with her daughter by her side. She was born on April 7, 1946, in Laconia, Indiana, to the late Earl and Helen (Fulkerson) Beckort.
Diana devoted her professional life to caring for others as an obstetrics scrub technician. She began her career at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon and later retired from Clark County Hospital in Jeffersonville after many years of dedicated service. Her work reflected her gentle spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Diana lived her faith through love, care-giving, and laughter. She treasured the deep friendships she built over decades - including her beloved Bunco Club, of which she was a member for more than 50 years.
Diana's greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Dwight Bennett and Ronald Harris; and her son, Darren Bennett.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Green (Butch) of Floyds Knobs; grandchildren, Emma Holloman (Houston) of Floyds Knobs, Harrison Green of Bluffton, South Carolina, Thomas Bennett (Amaya) and Travis Bennett, both of Corydon; great-granddaughter, Harper Holloman of Floyds Knobs; and daughter-in-law, Laura Bennett of Corydon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Kyle Rodden officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon or Hosparus of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
