Flossie L. Mathes, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at Indian Creek Convalescent Center. She was born February 18 1953 in Corydon, IN the daughter of Rush and Lenora Kintner Curts. She was a emergency medical technician and a respiratory therapist for Harrison County Hospital. She was an avid reader and loved her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Alice Embree and Sherry Webb and brother, Carl Curts. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Mathes of Corydon, IN and sons, Houston Mathes of Corydon and Matt Mathes (Ashley) of Canton, OH; grandchildren, Elliott Harbeson of Corydon, IN, Audrey, Vera and Henry Mathes of Canton, OH; brother, Lafe Curts of Corydon, IN; sisters, Clara Amy (Vernie), Joyce Wiseman (Dennis), and Benita McDonald (Terry) all of Corydon, IN and Lisa Austin (Jimmy) of Marengo, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Rev. Charles Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, and again on Tuesday from 9 AM until the service time at 11 AM also at the funeral home in Corydon, IN. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
