Diana Jo Kern, of Three Lakes, passed away on October 3, 2024.
Diana was born in Three Lakes on May 27, 1948, along with her twin brother Donald, to Climuel and Marjorie Estes. She graduated from Three Lakes High School in 1966. She married David Kottwitz and had four children.
She grew up in Three Lakes and North Carolina. Her family faithfully attended Union Congregational Church in Three Lakes while living in Three Lakes.
In 2005, she met her future husband, Thomas, at the Union Congregational Church. They were married on February 14, 2007.
She was a caring and loving person, always concerned about others before herself. She enjoyed being a care giver for the elderly, as well as the site manager for the Oneida County ADRC senior meal program at the Rieter Center in Three Lakes.
Diana enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, as well as NASCAR races. Diana had a passion for reading. When time permitted, she was always reading, even during tv commercials and shows. Diana was a member of the Three Lakes Lions Club.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely and was very proud of them.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Donald and her sister Carol.
Diana is survived by her husband: Tom; daughter: Tricia Lorenz (Jon Alexander) of Sturgeon Bay; sons: Kevin of Three Lakes, Aaron of West Bend and Craig Kottwitz; grandchildren: Matthew (Emily) Lorenz of Sherwood, Joshua Lorenz of Chicago, IL, Justin Lorenz of Brillion; Brianna (John) Zelenak of Knoxville, TN, Marissa Lorenz of Brillion, Jeremy Lorenz of Brillion, Jordan Kottwitz of West Bend, Meg (Jacob) Dernetz of Hartford, Calvin Kottwitz of West Bend, Brooke and Ryan Kottwitz of Neenah; great grandchildren: Dante, Auggie, Finn and Athena. She is also survived by nieces: Pepper Vold and Minta Wahlers; as well as other family and friends.
A celebration of Diana's life will be at 1pm on Thursday October 17, 2024 at Union Congregational Church in Three Lakes, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A light lunch will be served following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
