It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Diane Dean Clark of Wewahitchka, Florida, who passed away on January 8th 2025 at the age of 72. Diane was born to Carl and Myrtice Dean on May 19,1952 in Port St. Joe, Florida.
Diane loved traveling with the love of her life, John. They had countless adventures traveling abroad, cruises and road trips around the country. She was known for her love of state and national parks and still carried an oversized paper atlas in the car. She loved to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the leaves change in the fall. Diane always had a funny story to tell about their latest excursion, most recently it was ziplining on their December Cruise.
Best known as Grammie to her grandchildren, her favorite activities were baking cookies and making tie-dye t-shirts. She made all the holidays special, but her favorite was Easter. She and her sister, Jeanie, stuff hundreds of plastic eggs with money for everyone to participate, youngest to oldest. She collected Christmas ornaments from her travels and cross-stitched a special one for each child and grandchild. Her answer to any life obstacle or concern was to pray about it. We all have the text, "we are praying for you".
She is already missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her. Her laugh was infectious, hugs were big and love for her faith in God enduring.
She is survived by her beloved husband John Clark; her children Monica Henry and husband Charlie, Carrie Peebles and fiancé Paul Smith; grandchildren Ethan Henry, Cara Henry, Ainsley Peebles and Lincoln Peebles; brother Philip Dean and wife Laura; sister Jeanie Flowers and husband Perry; nephews Chris Thomas and wife Elizabeth, Robin Thomas and wife Glory, Jason Flowers and wife Jenni, Justin Dean and wife Katie; great nephews Hunter Thomas and wife Riannon, Gage Thomas, Carson Flowers, Liam Bunce, Porter and Fuller Dean; great nieces Klarisa Thomas, Julia Flowers, Taylor Dean, Tinley Dean and Hope Bunce.
Mrs. Clark will be laid to rest 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in the Jehu Cemetery, 436 Jehu Rd. Wewahitchka, FL with Rev. Joey Smith officiating.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Carl and Myrtice Dean; maternal grandparents Thomas O. Williams and Eva Williams, paternal grandparents Daniel and Eula Dean; Mother-in-law Doris Clark; nephew Rhett Dean
