Diane Kay (McTaggart) Bobb, age 79, of Swartz Creek, formerly of Genesee, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, December 25, 2024 surrounded by her family. In accordance with Diane’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
Diane was born on June 2, 1945 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Alfred and Vonda “Bonnie” McTaggart. She graduated from Vassar High School, class of 1963. Diane continued her education at Ferris State University where she met Dennis Bobb. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on January 8, 1965 in Vassar. Diane spent a large part of her life caring for her two beautiful daughters, building a home filled with love and support. Later, she began a 20-year career with the Genesee School District working in payroll and the athletics department. Diane was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Clio Country Club. She enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dennis Bobb; two daughters, Cherie Bobb Wager and her husband, Howard and Amy Bobb Gawthrop; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Michael Snyder and his wife, Kelsey and Abigail Elizabeth Gawthrop; one great-grandson, Theodore Bobb Snyder; three siblings, Larry McTaggart and his wife Cindy of Sanger, CA, Elouise McTaggart of Clovis, CA and Rod Wagner and his wife, Linda of Clovis, CA; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends from Genesee Schools and golf friends, including the Crazy 8’s.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred McTaggart and Bonnie McTaggart Wagner. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
