Ralph Stelter Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Ralph Edwin Stelter Jr, "Ralphie" beloved husband to Erin, son, brother, and friend went to be with the Lord on Aug 23rd. Ralph was loved by all who knew him. Ralph's generosity, and selflessness towards others made him a friend to many. Ralph was born on flag day, June 14th, 1990, much to the love of his parents Ralph Sr. and Lynn (Kedron) Stelter.

Ralph graduated from Standish High School with honors, and was a multi-sport athlete, playing both Varsity Soccer and Track and Field. Ralph went on to graduate from Ferris State University with a bachelor's degree in plastics engineering, Ralphie graduated on both the Deans and President's list. Ralph excelled in academics in school but always remained incredibly humble with his achievements.

Ralph's mentality and effort can be attributed to a lifetime of hard work. Ralphie grew up cutting wood all year round with his father Ralph, and his brother Bill. Ralph was always known for being a hard worker, and was well respected at Summit Polymer in Portage, for his work ethic.

On September 29,2018, Ralph married the love of his life, Erin Kelly McDaniel, in a beautiful ceremony in Bangor, Michigan. Together, they shared a life full of adventure and mutual support. Ralphie was a devoted family man, deeply loved by his mother, Lynn Stelter; his brother Bill (Heather) Kedron; sister-in-law Caitlin (Cole) McDaniel, and brother-in-law Sean (Michelle) McDaniel; and his adored nieces and nephews, Connor, Alex, Cora, Casey, Nia, and Michael. He was also a proud grandson to his grandfather, Ralph Stelter, and a beloved nephew to many aunts and uncles. Ralph's family extended to his furry companions, Jax, Rylee, and Ollie, who brought additional joy to his life.

Ralphie was preceded in death by his father Ralph Sr, his grandparents Ray & Ruth Kedron and his good friend Adam.

Ralphie's interests were as generous and diverse as his personality. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to others and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. An avid fisherman, he found peace and contentment by water. Ralph also had a passion for working on cars, playing sports like basketball, and traveling. One of his most treasured memories was exploring Ireland with Erin, and experience that highlighted his love for adventure

Those who knew Ralphie will remember him as kind, funny, and friendly. His laughter was infectious, and his presence could light up any room. Ralph's ability to connect with people from all walks of life made him a beloved figure in his community.

As we say goodbye to Ralph E. Stelter, Jr., we celebrate the life of a man who was a beacon of joy and friendship. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of his loved ones. Ralph's journey through life was marked by the love he gave and the love he received, a testament to the wonderful person he was. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 29, 2025, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel located at 127 N. Forest St. Standish, Michigan. Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025, at 12:00am at the Beacon of Light Church located at 201 S. Forest St. Standish, Michigan with Rev. Russell Poirier presiding.
