Diane Whitten

Brenda Diane Whitten passed away on January 28, 2022, in Milton, Fl. Whether to you, she was Diane, Mom, or Nana, she gave you her full attention. She knew that everyone carries with them a multitude of stories. She knew it was a gift when someone shared a story with her, and she was generous to share stories of her own. She was kind, loving, smart, and particular. She saw in others not only who they were, but also who they aspired to be and what they took pride in. She saw all of this and was proud of you, too. She never knew a stranger and you never had to guess where you stood with her.
If you were in Diane's orbit, you felt loved and treasured. She was a joy and asked to be remembered with laughter.
She was born on January 17, 1948, at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her father Claud Dean Webb and her mother Joann Sylvey. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, David Whitten; siblings Tammi Gayle Rhinehart, David Wagner, Gary Wagner, Randy Wagner, Rick Wagner, and Terry Webb; children James McGuyre (Candy), Michael McGuyre (Kelly); stepchildren Keith Whitten (Rene) Rusty Whitten (Ariel); grandchildren Shelby McGuyre, Kasey McGuyre, Haley McGuyre, Megan McGuyre; step-grandchildren Peyton Whitten, Addison Whitten, Brody Whitten, Bailey Whitten, Lucas Whitten; great-grandchildren: Carleigh Behan and Brodie Cigalotti; special niece Michaela Cornelius; and special nephew Tony Wildfong.
Pallbearers are Brian May, David Milliron, Wes Sutherin, John Ware, and Tony Wildfong.
Services for Diane will be at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, Fl., Wednesday, February 2, 2022. The viewing will be at 12:30 pm with the service at 1 p.m. Rev. Matt Dollhausen will officiate. She will be buried at Bagdad Cemetery.
