Dino Elio Leone

Dino Elio Leone, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on December 22, 2025. Dino was born on October 28, 1946 in Corato, Italy to Antonia Malcangi and Cataldo Leone. He was raised and loved by Giuseppe Soldano. He came to America when he was five years old with his brother Luciano where they lived with their aunt. He attended the Tappan Grammar School and graduated from Tappan Zee High School.

Dino married the love of his life, Frances Leone (Adams) on July 3, 1970. Dino now joins his wife in heaven. He is survived by his children John Leonard (Michelle), Stephen Leonard (Carolyn), Donna (Leonard) Roper (Robert Gaylon), Gina Leone (Ben Warren), Elena (Leone) Temple, Rosary (Leone) Holmes (Eric); his 15 grandchildren; Daniel, (Logyn) John Michael, (Adrianna), Brian, Kevin (Jessie), Kory (Hope), Kayla, Kyle, Emma, Caitlin, Ally, Olivia, Sophia, Julia, Shane, Julian and nine great grandchildren. As well as his siblings; Mario Leone, Luciano Leone, Marialuisa Soldano, Angela Soldano, and Rosanna Soldano. He is predeceased by his two children Dina and Dino Leone, his mother, father, his stepfather, and brother Domenico Leone. Dino had a big heart and welcomed everyone into his home. There was always room at the family table.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 1-6pm at Moritz Funeral Home, 98 Route 303, Tappan, NY 10983 (845-359-0890). A Funeral Mass will be held on December 29, 2025, 10 am, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Highway, Tappan.
