Dolores was born on May 6, 1929 to Mary and Vernon Laskowski. On May 6, 1950 she married Leonard S. Cebulski who preceeded her in death on December 21, 1984. Also preceding her in death were her father Vernon Laskowski, her mother Mary Tomkiewicz and her stepfather Joseph Tomkiewicz as well as sister Virginia Adams, brother Joseph Tomkiewicz Jr. and her daughter Doreen Cebulski Johnson.
Dolores was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who found spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.
Dolores is survived by two daughters; Dianne Peterson (Gerry), Merritt Island, FL and Anne Marie Zulas,South Bend IN and son-in-law Patrick Johnson Yorktown, IN. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Corey Peterson (Anna) Tallahassee, FL, Tyler Johnson Westfield, IN, Austin Johnson Yorktown, IN, Angelina Zulas-Carr (Zac) Austin, TX and Lenn Zulas of Mesa, AZ. Great grandchildren include Aubrey and Preston Peterson of Tallahassee, FL.
Also surviving are brother Daniel (Paula) Tomkiewicz of Kentucky and George Tomkiewicz, Mishawaka, IN as well nieces and nephews including special niece Annette Tuttle.
Dolores was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church since 1958. Her affiliations included St. John's Altar and Rosary Society, St. Joseph County Right to Life, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Mental Health Association and the Retirees of the University of Notre Dame.
Dolores spent many rewarding years working with children at the Children's Dispensary, Camp Millhouse and as a pediatric assistant in the office of Dr. H.D. Pyle, MD. Her position in the office of University Relations at Notre Dame provided a valued experience.
Visitation for Dolores will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from 10-11a.m Monday, February 26 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3526 St. John's Way, South Bend, IN 46628.
