He served as a Bioenvironmental Engineer and Civil Engineer, with his final assignment as a Captain at the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas.

His deployments in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm contributed to vital missions that safeguarded his fellow service members and advanced the cause of freedom.
Following his military service, Craig continued to serve his country through his government contract support work. In 2001, he began a distinguished 24-year career with Portage and North Wind, where he managed projects and programs for the U.S. Air Force within the Construction and Environmental Business Lines. He held several key roles, including Program Manager and Deputy Regional Manager. Outside of his work and military service, Craig was a loving husband to Janie Alaquinez and a proud father to Savanna Waller Alfaro, William Waller, and Christopher Waller. He was deeply devoted to his family, never missing an opportunity to remind them of his love and support. Craig encouraged his loved ones in every endeavor and was always eager to help in any way he could.
Beyond his role as a husband and father, Craig had a passion for music, history, and collecting guitars. His intelligence and kindness left an impression on everyone he met, and his unique, often eccentric stories could brighten even the hardest days. Craig had an unmatched ability to bring laughter, always keeping something up his sleeve to make those around him smile. Those who knew him experienced firsthand his warmth, understanding, and genuine compassion for others.
