Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels - NortheastOn Wednesday, October 8, 2025, our beloved sister and aunt, Liria Valdez, surrounded by loved ones, was peacefully called home to our Heavenly Father.
She was born on October 11, 1936, in Poteet, Texas to Clemente P. Valdez and Juanita Alvarado Valdez. She is survived by her brother, Juan Valdez, and sister, Maria E. Muñoz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clemente Valdez and Juanita A. Valdez, her sisters: Mercedes Martinez, Consuelo V. Lopez, Mary L. Garcia, and brother Clemente C. Valdez, as well as her niece Elaine Sarro and nephews Erasmus Valdez and Nick Martinez.
Lily enjoyed gardening, taking care of many animals, and was a nurturing mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family.
