Dolores was the last surviving member of her immediate family’s generation, a testament to a long, full, and well-lived life.
She was a homemaker throughout her life and poured her heart into her family and home. She was a talented quilter who joyfully gifted her creations to loved ones, an avid gardener who filled every season with blooming color, and a dedicated canner who preserved food and memories in equal measure. She read her Bible faithfully every night and never missed her morning crossword puzzle in the Bristol Herald Courier.
If you ever saw a white-haired woman weed-eating a steep hill along Highway 19 near Greendale, there’s a good chance it was her — working hard, smiling, and determined as ever.
Dolores was the very definition of hardworking, diligent, independent, and strong. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and matriarch who deeply loved the family she built and nurtured.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her daughter Pam, who devoted the past ten years to caring for her with unwavering love and dedication.
Special thanks also go to Dr. Bruce Higinbotham and his staff, and to the compassionate MSA Hospice nursing staff, whose kindness and support meant so much.Visitation will be held from 4:00–6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26th, with the funeral service to follow.
