Life’s Journey
Dominic Ramon Robinson
Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s
gone; those we love can never be more than a thought apart;
for as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.
Dominic Ramon Robinson was born on August 14, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents, Martha A. Lee Herndon and Zachariah Alexander, Jr. He was raised surrounded by his mother and his step-father, Greg Herndon. Dominic was the first born in the family out of three siblings. He had a brother, Earnest Robinson, and a sister Latoya Robinson. Dominic was educated in the public schools in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He furthered his education by attending Texas Christian University also in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dominic also attended Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Once Dominic moved to Colorado, he earned an Associates of Arts and Science Degree in Radiology from Anthem College in Denver, Colorado.
On June 12, 2021, Dominic married, the former Shutae L. Brown in Parker, Colorado. They first met in 2014. Shutae fondly remembers “how beautiful their wedding was which was held at The Club at Pradera which is an exquisite golf course, surrounded by family members and friends.” To this union a son, Xavier R. Robinson was born, Dominic became the step-father to Michael. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, who took great pride in the care and nurturing of his family. He loved being involved with Xavier’s sports activities and he was the coach for every team he played on. Dominic coaching the teams is one of Xavier’s fondest memories.
By profession, Dominic was employed by Comcast Business as a Senior Account Manager. He was a hard-working, dedicated, helpful individual who always helped his fellow co-workers and always wanted to see everyone succeed at their job. At Comcast, he was a three-time Presidents Club Winner.
Dominic was one of a kind and he was a selfless individual who loved to talk and would do anything for anyone. Dominic was a fun-loving man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, adult league basketball, hunting, coaching youth sports, watching sports, and smoking a good cigar. His closest friend, Jamias Pitt, will miss the many comraderies they shared together and the fact that he was a true and trusted friend. He was a very kind man, who never met a stranger. Dominic did not mind lending a helping hand to others. He had a charming personality with a smile that would lite up any room he entered. He was a motivator, who didn’t mind sharing his knowledge and growth with others. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one-of-a-kind man. To know Dominic was to love him.
Dominic Ramon Robinson departed this life on November 26, 2023, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his wife, Shutae L. Robinson; his son, Xavier R.
