Don Edward Clair

Don Clair, age 92, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. A beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, he was a proud resident of Rochester Hills for 54 years and a deeply valued member of his community.
Don graduated from the University of Detroit before serving honorably in the U.S. Army. He built a successful career as a pharmaceutical sales representative, later channeling his entrepreneurial spirit into owning and operating an embroidery and uniform business. He continued to work with energy and passion up until the last six weeks of his life-a true reflection of his dedication and vitality.
He is survived by his four loving children: Renee Deaton, Robert Clair, Michele Campbell, and Charlene Miller; his nine treasured grandchildren: Aubrey, Mackenzie, Kendall, Miranda, Daniel, Lauren, Anastasia, Joseph, and Timothy; and his five cherished great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Charlie, Noah, Hudson, and Laila.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Lou, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, faith, and family.
He will be remembered for his strong values, humor, laughter, and generous spirit. He led by example, always willing to lend a helping hand. His home was the heart of many family gatherings-a place where traditions were honored, stories were shared, and joy was abundant. Whether in service, business, or family life, his kindness and warmth left an enduring impact.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd, Rochester Hills, MI. The memorial will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow in celebration of his life.
