OBITUARY-DONA ANA JULIA HERNANDEZ LOPEZ
On August 15th, 2023 Doña Ana Julia Hernandez Lopez passed away at the age of 98.
Dona Julia was born on September 18th, 1924 in San Pedro Sula, Cortes, Honduras. She had 6 children with Don justiniano M. Hernandez, a native of the Lenca's Tribes of Intibuca, Honduras. They enjoyed 45 years together until his death in 1985.
Her parents Don Nicolas Hernandez and Doña Juanita Lopez de Hernandez migrated from Spain to Honduras in the early 1900's and settled in the region of Copan. A highlight in her life is that she also migrated from Honduras to the United States in 1988 and lived in Florida for the rest of her life.
We have lovely memories from Dona Julia and many teachings to share with all of her descendants of five generations. She had determination and perseverance, which gave her the strength to raise her children with grace. Her prayers, guidance and strong will, as well as her kindness and patience, were fundamental in her life. We will never forget her platinum smile. She was very beautiful and very strong!
Dona Julia is survived by five of her children: Martha Elena, Julio Cesar, Justiniano, Rigoberto and Aracelly, and their descendants:
24 grandchildren
21 great grandchildren
4 great great grandchildren.
Doña Julia lost her first daughter Rosa Vilma Hernandez in 2013.
Mama will be so missed by her family and friends.
A private farewell for Doña Julia will be held at her residence in Palm City, Florida, on Friday, August 25th, 2023.
