Donald B. Biener, of Levittown, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He was 58 years old. Don, as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Philadelphia on October 18, 1966 to the late Robert F. Biener, Sr. and the late Elaine (née Himes) Biener. He was the husband to Elizabeth (née Zemaitaitis) Biener and father to Lillian Biener and Emily Biener with whom he is survived by.
Don graduated from George Washington High School in 1985 and went on to build a career in the pet care industry, following his lifelong passion for animals that began when he was just four years old. He became a well-known and beloved presence at World Wide Aquarium & Pets in Mayfair, where customers knew him for his kindness, dedication, and deep knowledge of caring for pets. Don continued his career with Pets Plus and finished his career at A&E Cages.
Don loved fishing, especially spending time out on the water with his brothers and friends. He was a devoted husband and an incredible father, always putting his family first and filling their lives with love, laughter, and support. Don also had a deep appreciation for music and movies, which he enjoyed sharing with those he loved. Don was the brother of Loretta Kalb (David), Elizabeth Hudock, Philip Biener (Alicia), the late Robert F. Biener, Jr. (Connie), the late William Biener, son in law to the late Fred Donna Zemaitaitis, and brother-in-law to Laura Heron (Shawn), and Raymond Zemaitaitis. He is survived also by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Don's Life Celebration on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19154. Interment will follow at Northwood Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Don may be made to PAWS, Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society at www.phillypaws.org
Family services are entrusted to the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 215-281-0100.
