Donald William Campbell, age 71, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born May 21, 1952 in Torrance, California to Harold Campbell and Mary Putnam Campbell. He was a graduate of Torrance High School, Class of 1970. In 1971, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served our Country for 21 years in Vietnam and the Gulf Wars, retiring as Master Sergeant in 1992. Shortly after retiring, he began a civil service career at the Marine Corp Base in Barstow, CA, retiring in 2014. Donald married the love of his life, Judith Ann Whiteaker July 9, 1990 in Apple Valley, CA. Donald loved his family. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Apple Valley Gold Course. He also enjoyed bowling and drinking beer.
Donald enjoyed watching his friends laugh when he would say, “The older I get, the harder it is to find my (golf) balls.”
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Judith Ann Campbell.
Donald is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tomie and Corey Bobb of Crothersville, IN; son and daughter-in-law, Johnathan and Morgan Campbell of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Don Sketchley of Arlington, TX; son, Dennis Sketchley of Idylwilld, CA; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and pets, Bee Wee, Angie and Cindy.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.
