Don Lloyd passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday 2/25/2025. Don was born in Mt. Vernon, New York in 1957. His family relocated to Pompano Beach, Florida when he was young. Don was a member of DECA and played football and baseball at Pompano Beach Highschool and graduated in 1975. He attended Florida Atlantic University and received a degree in Marketing. Don met his wife Nancy in 1973 while both working at Sears in Pompano Beach and wed in 1981. Don and Nancy relocated to the Atlanta area in 1984. That same year, Don started working for Swagelok Georgia | Jacksonville | South Carolina. Don has held several positions with Swagelok including Director of Sales and Technical Director. He spent almost 41 years with the company where he provided technical support, training and advice on so many topics. Don raised three children and was active in coaching sports, mentoring, and was always ready to lend a hand. He enjoyed aviation history, classical music and collecting, operating and repairing old Lionel Toy Trains. He is predeceased by his parents George and Beverly Lloyd.

Don is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy, and his sister, Virginia Horrobin (John Horrobin) and niece, Haley, his two daughters, Stephanie (Mark Zeagler) and Kate (Josh Yoder) and his son, Brett.

The visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd from 2-5pm at Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory at 210 Ingram Avenue in Cumming, GA 30040. We will have Don’s friend, Mark Davis, say a few words at 4pm. A small family service will be held in Florida at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Train Collectors Association or Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity.
