Donald “Mack” Dugan, 86, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Harris Methodist Hospital. He was born Saturday, July 27, 1935, in Zion Hill, a son of the late Bascom and Leta Dugan.

He was a 1954 graduate of Peaster High School. Mack was a dynamic entrepreneur and founded Dugan Water Well Service in 1960. After more than 50 years, Mack retired. Today the business is still strong and has a new name, Hendrick Works Water Well Service. Mack went through each day with a song in his heart, especially when local church doors were open.

Throughout his life, Mack led singing at local churches and was passionate about sharing the Lord’s love through music. Mack was a pillar of the Zion Hill community and worked tenaciously throughout his life. No matter the situation, no matter the problem, he would figure out a solution. Above all else, he was devoted to God and family.

He was preceded in death by brother, Chalmers Dugan, and sister, Mary Evelyn Vaughn.
He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 65 years, Carol Annette Wellborn Dugan; two daughters, Janie Hendrick (Rex) of Peaster and Tammy Clack (David) of Weatherford; one son, Mack Dugan II (Sherrie Brumbelow) of Peaster; seven grandchildren, Shane (Bailey) and Tanner (Cassidy) Clack, Caleb (Lydia) and Seth (Julia) Hendrick, Hannah Baker (Stephen), Robin Cox (Ted), and Heather Davis (Aaron); eleven great-grandchildren, Brinley, Eden, Kinlee, Willow, Dixon, Nora, Everly, Leighton, Graham, Jaxon, and Collins.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at South Side Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at South Side Baptist Church.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that a donation is made to the Faith Community Baptist Church building fund: 3577 North FM 51 Weatherford, TX 76085.
