Donald D. Hempel, Jr., age 58, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital October 10, 2025.
He was born November 12, 1966 to Donald and Dixie (Michaels) Hempel, Sr. in Council Bluffs, IA. Donald graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.
He was preceded in death by father, Donald Hempel, Sr.
Donald is survived by his son, Donald Hempel III (Theresa Salvatore); mother, Dixie Hempel; signigicant other, Kristina, and her children, Jojo and Emily; siblings, Lesa Higgins (Mike), Bill Hempel (Chris), Alan Hempel, Tammy Wageman; grandchildren; Sonia Hempel; nieces, nephews, and cousins and misfits.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Interment is in Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
