Our family mourns the loss of Donald F. Hull, Jr, a beloved husband and father, from New Orleans, Louisiana. Donald passed away suddenly on December 22, 2025, while visiting family in Georgetown, Texas for the Christmas Holiday.

He leaves behind his beloved family, including the love of his life, Yolande "Heart" Locascio Hull; his daughter, Dominique Rebecca Hull; his mother, Kathleen O'Neil Hull; his sister, Carolyn Hull Barton (Darrin) and his mother-in-law, Shirley T. Locascio. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Fancher Hull, Sr., father-in-law, Dominick H. Locascio, Sr., brothers-in-law, Dominick "Nickey" Locascio, Jr. and Charles A. Locascio.

Donald was not only Heart 's husband but her best friend since high school-patient, caring, and devoted throughout their 34 years of marriage. He was deeply loved by his daughter, Dominique, of whom he was immensely proud. Donald was always there for Dominique whenever she needed him, offering unwavering support and love through every stage of her life. He was also the cherished and fun uncle to many nieces and nephews, bringing laughter to every moment together and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Donald graduated from De La Salle High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Throughout his career, he held positions with several engineering and construction firms, most recently serving with Diamond D Industries, headquartered in Sulphur, Louisiana. Known for his sharp intellect and strong leadership, Donald was deeply respected by colleagues and clients alike. He was passionate about mentoring young engineering students, inspiring them to understand that education is not merely a requirement but the key to unlocking their potential and shaping their future.

Donald was a faithful, New Orleans Saints fan, attending games since childhood and proudly holding season tickets for decades-a tradition that brought countless memories. Donald carried the same enthusiasm to the outdoors, where he loved spending time on his deer lease with friends, patiently waiting for the perfect buck to appear.

He had a special love for the family dogs-Marble, Ollie, Tucker and Marley-with Ollie having crossed the rainbow bridge this past September and surely greeted him with a wagging tail.

To know Donald was to love him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of so many. He will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Donald will be held from 9:30am to 11am on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001, followed by a short service beginning at 11am. A reception will follow the service at Westgate Country Club, 2326 Iowa Ave, Kenner, LA 70062.
