Donald M. Leydig, 65, of Manns Choice, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at his residence. He was born on April 20, 1960 in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late William and Shirley (Shroyer) Leydig. On August 1, 1981 in Buffalo Mills, he married Janey L. (Waugerman) Leydig and she survives along with two daughters: LeAnn Bobetich and husband Daniel of Hagerstown, MD and Christine Brocious and husband Timothy of New Paris; four grandchildren: Aubree and Sophia Bobetich, and Kinzlee and Oaklee Brocious; and two brothers: William Leydig and wife Debra, and Stephen Leydig and wife Lela, both of Hyndman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Fleegle.
Donald graduated from Hyndman High School, class of 1978. He started his career at Hedstrom until their closure, and later retired from Kennametal. He was a member of Milligans Cove Christian Church and the Bedford Masonic Lodge No. #320, F&AM.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying anything to do with hunting and fishing, and was a fan of Steelers football, Penn State football, and wrestling.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating. Burial at Dry Ridge Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to: Milligans Cove Christian Church, c/o Becky Stiffler, 912 Shippy Road, Manns Choice, PA 15550.
