Boonsboro, MD – Donald Edward "Hammer" Miller, 79, of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on September 10, 1945, in Middletown, MD to the late Martin Royer and Martha Marie (Griffith) Miller.
Hammer attended Boonsboro Schools.
He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator until his retirement. He worked for Pangborn Foundry and previously was employed by Kline Excavating in Frederick, MD.
He was a past member of Boonsboro Bible Church Boonsboro, MD.
Hammer was a member of South Mountain Rod & Gun Club.
He enjoyed fishing and farming.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanita Ann Miller; his favorite dog Peggy Sue; brother Ralph M. Miller and friend Betty; brother Rodney A. Miller (Kerry); brother Gary A. Miller; sister Shelva J. Renner; sister Joyce A. Hamilton (Wayne); sister Sharon M. Harshman (Dave); sister Denise E. House (Delbert); brother in law Kenneth Haupt (Cindy); sister in law Linda Getridge (Gary); numerous nieces and nephews; friend of the family Cathy Wilde.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Dale E. Miller, Glenn E. Miller, and Douglas R. Miller.
