Donald Rehmert Obituary
90, of New Lebanon, peacefully passed away, Monday, October 14, 2024.
He was born January 22, 1934, in New Madison, Ohio, to the late TB Garford and Leila Faye (Eberwine) Rehmert.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his nine siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Tammy) Rehmert and Jeff (Chris) Rehmert; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Don served a brief but honorable stint in the U.S. Army before returning home to contribute to the family farm. His commitment to family and work exemplified his strong values and unwavering dedication.
An avid outdoorsman, Don cherished his time spent hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting, finding peace and joy in nature. He was also a passionate athlete, enjoying countless games of softball with friends and family. Don was a loyal fan of Ohio sports teams, particularly the Buckeyes, Browns, and Reds, and his enthusiasm for their games was infectious.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 18 from 11AM to 12PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Steven Betts officiating and burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Contributions in Don's memory may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
