Donald Reuschling Obituary
He was born on October 11, 1928, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Fred and Effie (Wagner) Reuschling.
Donald married his beautiful bride, Martha Ahonen on July 16, 1949, at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church; they shared sixty-nine years of wonderful marriage together before Martha's passing in December of 2018.
After graduating from high school, Donald proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army.
Donald was employed by Conrail Railroad as an Engineer for forty-three years until his retirement in 1990.
He enjoyed walking, camping, fishing and woodworking. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Calasanctius Church in Jefferson, Ohio.
Donald is survived by his loving children: Frederick L. (Diane) Reuschling, Michael F. (Wyndy) Reuschling, Diane M. (John) Hill, Cathy A. (Jon) Merz and Donna J. (Greg) Perz, as well as his seven grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers: Fred L. Reuschling, Richard J. Reuschling and Robert H. Reuschling, and his wife, Martha.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 6:00p-8:00p at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 12:00p at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 32 East Jefferson Street in Jefferson. Burial to immediately follow the funeral service at Oakdale Cemetery.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff of Jefferson Healthcare Center and Bella Care Hospice for their kind and competent care of dad over the past 18 months.

So sorry to hear about Uncle Don. I can see him sitting around a table sipping a drink and eating limberger cheese and onion sandwiches. That´s what they did at grandma Sharpe´s house when the Youngstown crowd came down. I visited both your mom and dad about a year before your mom died. It was so much fun remembering old times.
I loved them both. Our deepest sympathies to your family.
