Donald Eugene Scott, 82, of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Knox Community Hospital, in Mount Vernon.
Donald was born July 5th, 1941, in Mount Vernon, OH to Nathan and Beulah {Smith} Scott and has spent most of his life in the Mt Vernon area.
Donald had been an employee of PPG and Scott Brother’s Electric. He was a member of the Amvets, VFW and Overcomers Christian Church.
Donald will be deeply missed by his children Brian (Davida) Scott, Beth (Steve) Denney; grandchildren Derek (Bethany) Scott, Ashley Jones, Sarah (Jonathan) Webster, Mayah “Bill” Denney; great-grandchildren Liliana Scott, Lincoln Scott, Calliopea Webster and his brother Terry (Sheryl) Scott.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William and Gary Scott and great-grandson Sebastion Scott.
Friends may call Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Overcomers Christian Church 998 Newark Rd, Mt. Vernon. Service follows at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brian Scott officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
