Donald William Strotman, formerly of Cincinnati, died in his favorite chair while praying the Rosary on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the age of 83. The son of George and Eleanor (Miller) Strotman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 17, 1941.
Don graduated from Roger Bacon High School and received his bachelor's degree from Xavier University. He was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard and a devout Catholic. Don married his love, Kathleen Reardon, and has missed her dearly, since her passing in 2013.
Don liked spending time outside. Whether it was being out on the water boating, swimming in his pool with family and friends, or hanging around the campfire shooting the breeze. He enjoyed playing in a couple of golf leagues and even used to go hiking when he was younger. Don loved to sightsee and travel all around the U.S. as well.
Don always enjoyed playing cards and poker on Friday nights. He was a big Xavier sports fan and rooted for his hometown Cincinnati Bengals too. Most of all Don cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved children, Mike (Debbie) Strotman, Tom (Julie) Strotman, Maureen (Jeff Polly) Strotman, Denny (Jen) Strotman, and Mary (Rich) Diemar; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucille, George, Robert, and Ed Strotman.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 202,5 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6th at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Sunman, IN. Fr. Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati.
Memorials given to St. Nicholas Catholic Church - Pro-Life, by bringing to the services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.

Words can't express how much I miss you I still can't believe I will never get to see you again or hug you.Ypu cared when nobody else did.You taught me values and morals that I was never shown. You loved me enough to take the time and show me what family truly means.I remember you driving 2 hours to me every Christmas just so we could go to church and I didn't hve to spend another Christmas alone. You never missed a surgery or anything that u felt I shouldn't hve to go thru alone.Ypu hve know idea how much you touched my life in the so many ways in the 11 years I have had the pleasure of knowing you. You became more than a friend, you was my family.Apart of me is missing since u died.God really gained a angel. I will always hold u dearest to my heart.Thank u for all of it.I love u,love Melinda Elliott

I´ve known Don since 1974 when we both worked together in Middletown office of CG&E. He always had a great sense of humor and love of family. I wasn´t aware of his passing until today, 2/12. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a wonderful man.
