Donna Gail Farr was the fourth child born April 25, 1953 in Lexington, NE to Fred and Mabel Jessie (Sheldon) Newton.
Most of her early life she lived in Lexington and attended Bryan Grade School, Jr. High, and High School before moving to Excelsior Springs, MO for Job Corp. She received her GED and a Clerk Typist Certificate.
She was united in marriage to Alfred Farr on March 1, 1981 in McCook, NE. The couple adopted their son Dustin.
After moving to Phillipsburg, she joined the First Christian Church. She felt the love and concern of her church family and believed they truly shared the love of Jesus.
Donna was big on encouragement and the salvation message. She shared this hope: "I hope you all remember that Jesus Loves You and I do Too. He died and shed His blood for you and me. Just ask for forgiveness of your sins and believe in him. Please bow your head in Prayer, Family, or Friend and Accept Christ today."
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Mabel Pickerill and Georgia Endsley.
Survivors include her husband Alfred of Oxford, NE; son Dustin and wife Carrie of Plattsburg, MO; 5 Grandchildren: Dustin, Jr., Dylan, Brice, Faith, and Raven; sister Lois Runion of Phillipsburg; 2 nieces Sandra Bohl and husband Edwin and Carla Fleming and husband Edward all of Phillipsburg; 2 great nieces Jessi Valladeres and Paige Dryden; great great nephew Aaden Blakley; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastor LeRoy Herder officiating. The services were streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Mrs. Farr will lie in state from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the family receiving friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.
