Donna L. Starks, of Binghamton, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 10, 2025. Donna is predeceased by her parents, Adam & Geneva Knopick, brothers Edward & Roger Knopick, and step-son Billy Starks.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, David Starks, son Scott Starks & his children -Brianna, Christopher, Taylor and James, son Patrick (Diana) Starks & their children Stephanie, Sabrina, Brianna and Zachary, daughter Lorri Griffiths & her children Makenize, Evan & Tanner, daughter Kelli (Paul) Traver & their children Mariah, Noah, Leyanah and Hailey, step children Marsha, Kim (Claudio) Carpentieri, David "Crocky" Starks & Lisa (Howard) Holcomb, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law and close friends Joanne Smith and Cathy Starks.
Donna grew up in Vestal, NY and attended Vestal High School and graduated in 1967. Soon after, Donna met the love of her life, David. Donna enjoyed many things in life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed watching all her grandkids and they loved being spoiled by grandma & poppy. She loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays. She had a special talent for cooking and baking, making wedding, baby shower and birthday cakes. She always had to bring her special potato salad & cole slaw to family gatherings. She loved playing BINGO, poker, shopping & going for Chinese food with the girls as well scratch offs. She was always there to lend a ear and a shoulder to cry on and always welcomed everyone with open arms. Donna was loved by so many and had many special family friends. Donna is going to be greatly missed by all who know her.
The family will receive family and friends at Thomas J Shea Funeral Home, 137 Robinson St, Binghamton, NY, 13904 on Tuesday June 17, 2025 10 am-12 pm with a funeral service to follow. Procession to Vestal Hills Cemetery for burial. Luncheon to follow at the Kirkwood Fire Station, 297 Main St, Kirkwood (by River Park) where all are welcome.

Donna was in many of my classes at school and she was a really sweet gal! My sincere condolences to the family, her obituary affirms that she always stayed sweet! May she rest in peace with the Lord
