Donna Carol Suscha, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away on October 24, 2021, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Donna Suscha was born on October 25, 1942, in Sheboygan, to the late Elmer and Antonia (Walus) Ewig. She graduated from Central High School in 1960 and studied music at UW Whitewater. On June 20, 1964, Donna married Richard W. Suscha. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2012.
From a young age Donna loved life. Whether it was traveling with her brothers and sisters to Niagara Falls and Yellowstone Park, or general shenanigans with her high school friends, she wanted to experience all that life had to offer.
Her youth hobbies included photography, cheerleading, swimming at the Quarry, CCD, sock-hop dances, and even being named Homecoming Queen. She finished runner-up in the Miss Sheboygan Pageant earning her the title of "Miss Eskimo Pie". And she met her husband Dick Suscha in the Sheboygan Skihasen Club which traveled to all the area ski hills.
Donna stayed active in her adult life as a huge fan of her three sons' athletic events and cheering on all the Wisconsin sport's teams. She was a member of the Junior Women's Club, the Sheboygan County Taxpayers Association, and she was a friend of Bill W. Her love of gardening led her to become a member of the Sheboygan County Master Gardeners, where she maintained beautiful gardens at the Cedar Grove Wind Mill, the Lakeview Mansion B&B, and her wonderful home on North Point.
She spent her recent years catching up with friends, keeping tabs on her ten grandchildren, and cheering on her favorite teams.
Donna is survived by her sons, Richard (Renee) Suscha, Christopher Suscha and Jason (Liz) Suscha; grandchildren, Eric, Andrew, Adam, Alex, Connor, Caroline, Harlin, Louise, Anthony, and Lidia; a sister Betty (Russ) Anderson and a sister-in-law Corinne Ewig. She is further survived by cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Along with her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin; siblings, Virgel (Paul) Leonard, Eugene (Dori) Ewig, Elmer (Carol) Ewig, Dorothy (Al) Hoell, Shirley (Jerry) Hickmann and Frank Ewig and her in-laws, Ludwig and Lydia Suscha.
A Funeral Service for Donna will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 4 PM, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Sheboygan with Deacon Mike Burch officiating. Family will greet visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 3PM until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler.
