Donnell D. Snellen, 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Donnell was first greatly loved! He loved his game consoles and action figures. His love for Louisville and his Cards was undeniable. He was loud by nature, not just his voice but his personality. Donnell had a very hard exterior but to know him was to know he had a mellow side. Donnell loved music and was a big heavy metal rocker who could sing a country song out of this world. With all of his toughness he loved God, he never shied or backed down from sharing the love he had for his Savior Jesus Christ. Donnell was loyal, he was a good friend, but most of all he loved being Amethyst dad. She is what softened him because she was the light of his world, his own piece of heaven. Donnell had a very loud presence that you could not miss and that we miss already.
He was born on February 17, 1980 in Louisville, Kentucky to Johnny and Sherry (Snellen) Mass. He is preceded in death by his Father, Johnny Mack Mass and Sister, Angel Nicole Snellen-Decker.
Donnell is survived by his loving family, Mother, Sherry Lynn (James) Green; Daughter, Amethyst Rose Snellen; Siblings, Stephanie R. (Jamil Rountree) Snellen-Bivens, Tanya L. (Vincent Butler) Snellen-Butler, and Jamie D. Snellen; Good Friend, Sarah Tomlinson, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, cousins, family and friends to cherish his memory forever.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
