Doreen Cheryl Savran

Doreen Cheryl Savran, 70, of East Haven, CT, passed away on Thursday June 6th, 2024 in Branford, CT.
Funeral service will be held graveside at Mount Lebanon Cemetery located at 189 Gill Ln, Iselin, NJ 08830 on Sunday June 9th at 10:00 AM. Shiva will take place after the burial and the (one) following day at the home of Harold & Debra Weiss at 4 Hopi Court, Manalapan, NJ, 07726. Goldstein Funeral Chapel will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Doreen was born in Albany, NY to Irwin and Vivian Weiss on 10/23/54. She went to high school at Pompton Lakes High School and graduated in 1971. She went on to earn a degree in Speech Pathology from William Paterson University. Doreen Founded a non-profit organization for the purpose of fundraising The Creative Playground. She then opened her own consulting firm called Development Innovations where she consulted non-profit organizations on fund development, event planning and volunteer recruitment. From there she was a Senior General Manager at The Fitness Company and finally President/Founder of Clean Holdings with her invention of the Cleaning Station.
She enjoyed dancing, music, shopping, watching movies, traveling, writing poetry, and spending time with family especially with her granddaughter, Molly June.
Doreen is survived by her daughter Alycia Hamilton, her husband Ryan Hamilton and their daughter Molly June Hamilton; her partner Frank Uzzo; her mother Vivian Weiss and her mother's brother, Uncle Marvin Ellin; Eldest brother Harold Weiss, his wife Debra Weiss and their children Matthew, Ian and Zachary. Her baby brother Allan Weiss, his wife Donna Weiss and their children Emma, Ben and Jared. Her "sisters" Dawn Fogel, Lauren Snyder, Barbara Goldmunz and Connie Gates.
She is preceded in death by her father Irwin Weiss, her former husband Michael Savran and her Aunt June.
