Dorene L. (Pollnow) Shuler, 92, passed away on December 24th, 2025 in Overland Park, Ks. She was born on August 2, 1933 to Myron and Pearl (Pearson) Pollnow, in Oberlin, Kansas. Dorene was a quintessential farm wife and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and tending the vegetable garden, utilizing every product in her meals and baking. She took joy in baking and cooking using the produce grown from the garden and even the fields, (on occasion, even grinding wheat and corn to make flour) Harvest time is when she shined the brightest, with virtual feasts brought to the fields to nourish the crew.

Dorene is survived by her sister: Connie Grochowshi (husband Jerry); sister-in-law: Ellen Kay Moore (Clay Center); children: Evan and wife Regina, Linda, Alan and wife Lesley; six grandchildren: Jennifer Dean (husband John) and Courtney Shuler (husband Chris Perkins), Micheal White, Brandon Fuentes, Genna Bickford (husband Austen), and Blair Shuler (Fiancé Jared Holmes); eight great grandchildren: John, Jacob, Katy, Carly (Jennifer), Jack, Eleanor (Genna), Harrison and Charlotte (Blair); one great great grandchild: Jodie (Jacob & Allison).
