Ronald Edwin McPhillips

Ronald Edwin McPhillips, 79, passed away on December 19, 2025 in McCook, Nebraska. Ronald was born on October 23, 1946 to Miles Edwin and Mary Maxine (Simpson) McPhillps in Pueblo, Colorado.
Ronald grew up all over the United States, being the son of a military family and graduated from High School in Anchorage, Alaska. But he always called Colorado home. After High School he joined the Navy and married Diane Baumgartner on December 31, 1970 in Wiggins, Colorado.
Ronald loved to travel from coast to coast in his motor home but his first love was his motorcycle trips. Ron also worked at one of the largest mines in the country. He was a mechanic and work on machinery for Henderson Mine Company for 34 years while living in Empire, Colorado.
Ron was survived by his wife: Diane McPhillips; son: Raymond Edwin McPhillips; brothers: Alan McPhillips of Morrison, CO and Mike McPhillips of Fort Collins, CO; brothers-in-law: Dale (Lil) Baumgartner of Clifton, CO and Mike (Sheree) Baumgartner of Westminster, CO; nieces: Regina McPhillips of Littleton, CO, Jennifer (Steve) Vincenzetti of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary McPhillips of Morrison, CO, Lisa (Mike) Carpenter of LaSalle, CO, Kristen (Jason) Ream of Greeley, CO, Erin Baumgartner of Clifton, CO, Chantell Tarrant of Denver, CO, and Stacy (Paul) Murray of Brighton, CO; nephews: Eric Baumgartner of Thornton, CO, Justin (Sarah) Baumgartner of Thornton, CO.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Miles and Mary McPhillips.
