Doris Anderson Obituary

Doris Ann Anderson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on May 28, 1932, in Middletown, Indiana, to the late Ward and Alta (Myers) Taylor. Doris graduated from Anderson High School, where she was crowned Prom Queen in 1949. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to Guide Lamp, Plant 1, where she was known for her strong work ethic and her March madness high school basketball pools.

Doris had a zest for life that was reflected in her love of flowers. She found joy in the simple pleasures, often collecting frogs along with her brother Don, that adorned her garden and deck. A passionate sports enthusiast, she loved watching football, baseball, and basketball always cheering on her favorite quarterbacks; Brett Favre, Big Ben and her "goat," John Elway. Most of all Doris adored her grandchildren, attending every event possible, proudly supporting them as they followed their many passions.

Doris leaves behind her cherished daughters, Paula Wolsiefer and Sally Dallas; nine grandchildren, Ryan Jellison, Gus Anderson, Maggie Gammon, Kate Lyons, Nick Dallas, Alex Dallas, Hayden Anderson, Dawson Anderson, and Delaney Anderson; and five great-grandchildren, Jace, Kendall, Gabby, Harvey and Revan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Anderson; her sons, Mark and Joseph Anderson; her grandson, Charlie Anderson; and her two brothers, Bud and Don Taylor.

The visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Brown-Butz- Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with the burial to follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Doris' services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes.
