Doris Jean Kloeckner

Doris Jean Kloeckner, 87, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 87, in Lansing, MI. She was born on January 20, 1938, in Ypsilanti, MI, to the late Gordon and Helen (Gilbert) Boyce.
Doris dedicated three decades of her life to General Motors, where she worked diligently on the assembly line. Her commitment to her role was evident in the meticulous care she took with her work and the respect she earned from her colleagues.
Upon retirement, Doris embraced the tranquility of northern Michigan. She reveled in the serenity of lake life, spending countless hours fishing and basking in the beauty of nature. Her love for the outdoors was as deep as the lakes she adored, and her enthusiasm for this lifestyle was infectious.
For eight years, Doris's voice was a familiar and welcome sound at the local Bingo hall, where she enthusiastically called out numbers and shared in the joys of the game.
Doris was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving children, Dave (Holly) Kloeckner, Cheryl (Carl) Billeter, Jeffrey (Julia) Kloeckner, Trish (Glenn) Granger, Mary (James "Sid") Haley, and Ann (Philip) Sims. Her legacy of love continues through her 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in her heart, and several caring nieces and nephews.
As per Doris Koeckner's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Doris to the Disabled American Veterans Organization. The family has entrusted the care of Doris to Mills Funeral Home, Peters and Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
