Doris Mae Orr a Pioneer resident of Fellowship Village Basking Ridge, NJ and previously 40 years as resident of New Providence, NJ passed away on February 20, 2026. She was 95.
Born on December 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Amanda (Lydecker) Kolb of Nyack, NY.

Doris graduated from Nyack High School in 1948 and Wood Secretarial School, NYC in 1950. In her youth, Doris was active in many sports, including riding horses, tennis, and downhill skiing. Before marrying, Doris lived in New York City and worked as a secretary. She fell in love and married Kenneth DeWitt Orr, son of Louis Martin Orr and Elfrieda C. Orr of East Orange, NJ on July 10, 1954. They enjoyed 39 years together until his death on January 9, 1994. Doris worked for Airco in Murray Hill, NJ from 1976 to 1986 before retiring.

Doris leaves behind three daughters; Vicki Klaas; Sherri Dearing and her husband Daniel Dearing; Lauri Kohlmeir and her husband Christopher Kohlmeir, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday March 2, 2026 at Valley Memorial Funeral Home - 1012 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ 07933 at 10:00am, viewing from 9:30am 6 10:00am. Burial will be at The Presbyterian Church in New Providence at 11:00 am.
