DORIS ANN SIMON

Doris Ann Simon entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 70. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Vacherie, LA and currently residing in Harvey, LA. Doris was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and a retired receptionist with RTA. She served her country as a member of the Army National Guard. Devoted mother of Lyndall R. Boyd. Doting grandmother of Lacie Wheeler. Beloved daughter of Jessie and Lyndoll Simon. Granddaughter of the late Lillie Jackson. Loving sister of Joseph Chaney, Randolf Simon, Dwight Simon, Mae Simon, Cole Simon, Lillie Mae Cole, Ricky Simon, and the late Paulette Simon-Wineburg, Jessie Mae Simon, and Barbara Steib. Doris is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Blessed Sacrament/St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament/St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8321 Burthe Street, New Orleans, LA on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Father Charles Andrus, celebrant.
