Doris M. Wagner, 95, of Tukwila, Washington, died on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born on March 24, 1929, to parents William Jacob Koenig and Anna Koenig in Buckley, Washington.
Doris graduated from Buckley High School in 1947 where she participated in drama, music, and publications. She also loved sports.
She moved to Seattle where she became an insurance underwriter and where she eventually met her future husband. Doris married John J. Wagner on May 18, 1957, and they had 2 children: Lisa and Paul Wagner.
Doris was very active in the Tukwila community throughout her life, participating regularly in Garden Club and community projects as well as the local Arts Guild. She was a loving and dedicated mother and supported her children's activities in local schools.
Doris is survived by her children Lisa Wagner of Bellevue Washington and Paul Wagner of Plymouth Washington.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Wagner; sister Helen E. Koenig brother William J. Koenig, mother Anna Koenig and father William J. Koenig.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188. The internment will follow at 12:00 PM in Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boeing Museum of Flight, the United Service Organizations (USO,) or the Wounded Warrior Project.
