Doris Martha Walkenhorst (nee Mallinckrodt), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Henry H. Walkenhorst; cherished daughter of Rupert and Esther Mallinckrodt. Devoted mother of Jane Marie (Mitch) Kielb and Julie Ann Meyer; loving grandmother of Alex (Alexa) Meyer, Conner (Carri) Meyer, Tyler Kielb, Cameron (Emily) Kielb, and Arianne (Matt) Davidson; treasured great-grandmother of Nicolette Kielb and Henry Kielb.
Doris cherished her daughters and husband deeply, and she took great pride in being a Girl Scout leader. She loved actively participating in her children’s lives and found joy in sewing and creating clothing. Doris enjoyed crafting with her friends, painting, and making jewelry. She was married to her best friend for over 60 years, and together they shared a passion for gardening and beautifying their home. Doris also delighted in baking and traveling, going on numerous cruises and trips with Henry. Doris was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Doris's name to American Heart Association.
