Dorothy M. "Darcy Mae" Myer, 94, devoted wife, mother, and Gigi, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Legend of Lititz, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born in 1930 in Ephrata to the late Samuel and Eva (Renninger) Becker and was the wife of the late Mark K. Myer.
A woman of strong faith, she was a member of Akron Grace E.C. Church for over 60 years. During her working years, Dorothy was a seamstress for Dutchmaid Inc. for 33 years and LMC for 14 years. She was a former member of both Akron Women's Club and Friendly Circle Seniors Club. Dorothy loved to sit on her porch during the summertime, often inviting neighbors and friends to join her. She was a wonderful friend, and frequently volunteered to drive her friends to various appointments. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, bowling, and cruises.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Jody, wife of Kenneth McCreary; a grandson, Alex, husband of Kelsey; three great-grandchildren, Aurora, Abigail, and Luke whom she cherished deeply. She will also be remembered fondly by extended family, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by husband, Mark K. Myer in 1992.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
