Dorothy Louise Travis, of Pauls Valley, passed away September 28, 2025 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years.

Dorothy Louis McCabe was born March 27, 1944 in Healdton, Oklahoma to O. P. and Dorothy Pauline McCabe. She grew up and attended school in the Ringling area.

She was married to Gerald Earl "Butch" Travis at the family home near Wynnewood, Oklahoma, on July 28, 2001. Until her retirement, she worked as a Cook for many years at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center and enjoyed cake decorating. She has made the Pauls Valley and Wynnewood area her home most of her life.

The family has requested that memorials, in Dorothy's name, be made to P.A.W.S. at P.O. Box 147, ATTN: Carolyn, Pauls Valley, OK 73075.

She was preceded in death by her parents. O. P. McCabe, Dorothy Pauline (Dewbre) McCabe-Byrd and Loy Byrd; her husband, Gerald E. "Butch" Travis; son, Jason Travis, brothers Clyde, Donald, and sister Linda.

Surviving family include her children, Joe Gregg and his wife, Radonna, of Lone Grove; Darrell Gregg and his wife, Donna, of Pauls Valley; Carl Gregg and his wife, Pauline, of Sayer; and Chris Travis and his wife, Sandy, of El Reno; daughter in law, Tiffany Travis, of Pauls Valley; 19 grandchildren: Heather, Cory, Jodi, Chance, Chad, Karla, Bobby D, Jeromy, Amber, Jordon, Bobby, Jesse, Desiree, Cody, Bryson, Nicole, Blake, Nicholas, and Natalie; 37 great grandchildren, as well as 4 brothers Ronnie, Dennis, Jackie, Avery, and 1 sister Cindy.

Memorial funeral services are pending at this time. Services for cremation are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
