Douglas Robert Wright - December 3, 1946 - December 27, 2024, Puyallup, Washington.
Douglas passed away after living 78 years of powerful self-reliance, dedicated brotherhood, and spiritual lovingkindness. He is survived by his loving partner, Cheryle Lees Lawson, and three daughters. He leaves a deep void in the hearts of many.
Doug was a devoted family member, and his gifts of nurturing and guidance were shared with a broad community of loved ones he cultivated. As he moved to different places, he always found a church home, and he was an avid participant in book clubs and men's study groups, focusing not just on biblical texts but Luther's works and philosophers such as Bonhoeffer. He also was a member of the Normanna Male Chorus of Tacoma and the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Puyallup choir.
