Duane Kline Obituary Fairplay, MD Duane Alan Kline, 68, of Fairplay, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his home.
He was born on September 1, 1956, in Hagerstown, MD. Duane was the son of the late Floyd R. Kline and Beatrice (Ruby) Kline.
Duane attended Williamsport High School.
He lived his life enjoying the outdoors and caring for animals. In just the last few years he realized he loved guiding youth to hunt better than hunting himself. He was a jack of all trades in his rigorous work experience doing roofing, drywall, construction, concrete, and driving trucks. Farming has always been a part of his life. He also enjoyed fixing and restoring tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Davies) Kline whom he married on May 12, 1978; daughter Kelli Beard and her husband Andrew; son Duane Kline, Jr.; grandsons Dylan Kline and Kason Kline; sister Melinda Valentine and her husband Robert; brother David Kline and his wife Diane; sister Susan Shirley and her husband Gary; in laws Waltraud (Binz) Davies, Mary Gorman, James Davies (Vickie), and Chris Davies (Susan).
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his second family Donnie and Linda Beard and their farm family Casey, Justin, and Maggie.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Floyd R. (Puggy) Kline; brother-in-laws Joe Davies and Mike Davies.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 6:00 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Suzanne Jones officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County 13011 Maugansville Rd. Hagerstown, MD 21740 to help with animals that need love.
